@MarkHales01@DLeBlancNB The USA will not be negotiating on any sizable change in the too near future. We need to let the tariffs sink in, else we will be back in this situation again in the near future
@mcisaac_bob@RebelNewsOnline The US takes 80-90% of Canadian softwood (25M+ m³, billions $). Europe is a minor destination for Canada & a net exporter. NS’s $25M pine (mostly US) won’t match that volume/profit there soon due to distance, competition & logistics.
@cbcwatcher With all of the election interference by Canada,the US should not negotiate trade until after the midterms. If they did sway the elections in the US, the US should increase their tariffs and delay negotiations until Trump’s term is over. I then bet that CUSMA is ended asap
