🚨 #Breaking - Somaliland Ambassador to Yemen Kidnapped by Houthis 🇾🇪

Hargeisa / Aden — The relatives of Idris Adan Raage, the Ambassador of the Republic of Somaliland to Yemen, have publicly stated that he was kidnapped by the Houthis on Sunday, June 14, 2026 (the same day as President Irro’s State Visit to Israel 🇮🇱).

In a statement addressed to the Somaliland community, the family said the Somaliland government is working to secure his release. They added that the Somaliland office in Aden was raided the previous day.

According to the relatives, Yemeni authorities refused to allow his lawyer to be present. They said they have no direct contact with Ambassador Raage and have received information only that he is being held at the Yemeni Intelligence and Security Center.

The family has called on the Somaliland government to provide them with details about their son’s current whereabouts and condition.
