@ritam5013 Two ways to skip Android File Transfer: over USB, OpenMTP is a free macOS client that's far less flaky. Wireless: put both on the same Wi-Fi, use a phone app that shares files via a local web page, and open that address in Safari. No cloud, nothing to install on the Mac.
@AkanoKehinde4 For large cross-platform batches, keeping both phones on the same Wi‑Fi and using a local browser-based transfer avoids cloud upload. Smaller batches plus checking the folder count afterward can make failures easier to spot.
@mattsaddler@Waleedels_@stephenrobles During new-device setup, keep the old iPhone nearby, powered and on Wi‑Fi. It usually brings over settings and app data, but many apps still require sign-in. Passwords transfer only when your password manager or iCloud Keychain is enabled, and some apps never migrate credentials.
@AlexDuicu@maciej_murawski For phone-to-phone moves, putting both devices on the same Wi-Fi and using a local PIN/QR transfer sends files directly without a cloud upload.
Share a file nearby over Wi‑Fi with a QR — no cloud upload.

Moving to a new phone? Keep both on the same Wi‑Fi, pair with a PIN, and move contacts or photos locally—no cable, computer, or cloud.
