@pdw8 Yup… it’s those changing areas that will be the “challenge”… this is where directional antennas can be applied effectively!
I surveyed a paper mill where large rolls of paper 5 feet wide and 4 to 6 feet tall by 2-5 rows deep were stocked… fun times.
@KillerTigger@wrljet I know what that is… used on Apple II/IIe computers to tighten the 3/16” screws/nuts for the floppy disk drive cable on the computer side. DB-15 low density connector. And parallel printer cable DB-25 connector.
@samuel_clements@pdw8 Completely forgot about that… as most of the security has “migrated” to the controller… at a customer site several years ago that was using 2 of the Cisco 1232’s (both on the wall a few feet apart with no antennas) to run/manage the WiFi security/RADIUS Authenticator…
@aradiogurl Most likely “talks” SNA/3270… installed a few of these for some corporate clients that needed to access information on some IBM “Big Iron” that was in a data center offsite. Apple was marketing connectivity to the IBM side in an effort to leverage the business users.
@pdw8 Yup… interesting indeed! Perhaps someone wanted to test the beam forming & MIMO capabilities… meantime someone in a “remote office” has checked off the Excel file “WAP #21 has been mounted…”
@JustDoWiFi I used the NetAlly tester that was borrowed from my team lead at the time… this was a few years ago… don’t remember if the true PoE “load test” took place however the PoE was verified using the tester.
@samuel_clements@AceHighWifi@NetAlly I knew there was another vendor that had a product… And in typical “Sam Style” he was right there with the answer… not enough ☕️ yet for me…
