Different countries, different rules of evidence, different defendant, different legal landscape.

This means she wasn't subject to turning over evidence during discovery, or to being cross-examined on any of her claims. She didn't go through the adversarial process to challenge the veracity of her claims. That was the issue

There are legal differences betw. suing a publisher and suing an individual. All The Sun had to prove was that they reasonably believed AHs claims to be true AT THE TIME OF PUBLISHING. It doesn't mean they ARE true, just that the Sun didn't publish in malice.
