Jarome Luai has done it all.
4 premierships in an elite system.
Took his nation to a World Cup final. Then backed himself, left Penrith, and walked into the biggest basket case club in the league.
He could have played it safe, and coasted, but didn’t.
He came to the Tigers and has worked tirelessly to lift the standards, change the culture, and help set this club up for something better.
Now he has the chance to become the highest-paid player in the league, tax free, and be the face of a new chapter in PNG.
As a Tigers fan, I wish him nothing but the best. I’m not going to pretend it’s good riddance or act like we don’t need him. We do.
He deserves every cent.
I’m sad to see him go, but I’m grateful we still get another 18 months of Jarome Luai helping build the mentality this club has been missing.
@Nezd_@scotts1961@behindthegreen9@ReadingThePlay Jumps??? He was around the hips and slid down. Did his hips contact his legs. Yes. Does that happen most tackles - yes. Unfortunate but not a hip drop and far from a “textbook”
@behindthegreen9 Yep we need theatrics like this binned. He’s banging his fists on the turf like he did an acl. Gets the penalty api to the bin and he’s all good.
@scotts1961@behindthegreen9@ReadingThePlay No that’s a tackle from behind. Classic hip drop is tackling from the front then swinging your legs around and dropping their hip on the back of the legs. This was not even close to a classic hip drop.
@9_Moley To me a hip drop is when they tackle from the front swing their body around and then drop their hip on the back of the legs. This is just a tackle from behind.
From a rugby league fan that has no interest in either side tonight. That was two top 4 sides from last year that played very average footy. #NRLRaidersBulldogs
@flushingitgolf If those scenes and crowds don’t show the uspga that golf is international and we need a true world tour then nothing will. If LIV fails another will succeed. Europe, Asia, South Africa and Australia are screaming for it.
