It’s my first time in Hong Kong and I’m here representing @WigglyLineCo thanks to @setsquared. Lots of workshops so far, but today I’m getting to do some exploring and the scenery is just stunning.

#epic on Friday is an elevator pitch taking place in an actual elevator (not one in this building—this is the Camel Paint Building where we had lunch 😛). We’ve been warned that lift noises and the tight space will make tone and non-verbal communication particularly important.

Day 2: All about pitching! Talks and mentoring sessions at Tencent WeStart co-working space. Focusing on how to get our message across in just 60 seconds when presenting to an international audience who speak English as a 2nd Language. Good preparation for #epic on Friday.

The biggest thing we’ve learnt is that the term “care home” is understood very differently by different cultures, which definitely affects how we explain #Streamcare to others. Really useful sessions provided by #hkstp to help develop better communication skills.

Day 1: A range of useful talks and discussions @HKSciencePark talking about how Hong Kong can be used as a stepping point to Asia and how the Chinese/HK markets differ from the UK. Discussions on #ipProtection #tax #UniversityCollaboration #medicalDevices #innovationInHK

Day 1: We had the chance to visit @HKSciencePark and learn about the support that they provide to #tech #startups. Huge and very impressive setup designed to help startups grow. Currently hosting 800+ companies and 13,000 high tech workers.
