If I player Persona 3 Portable as the female main character (to romance Akihiko), all of my menus & bgs have to be pink (I don't really like pink) & I don't get Mass Destruction as a battle theme?! Sorry Aki, I think I'll just have to look you up on YouTube π
@james_gammell Cheers for the heads-up, but at least at the moment gamepass doesn't do much for me as I don't play on PC (sitting at desk issues) & don't have an xbox. Maybe next gen tho!
@elliotpage@ScreentoneClub Just read/listened this morning. I was nodding along to both of you - basically in the same place with it. Didn't hate it at all & there were some good moments, but would have preferred an approach that really got into the humanity of the characters first if that makes sense.
Have to say, episode 1 of Reborn to Master the Blade is worth it just for OP baby shenanigans.
(image snarfed from the @AnimeFeminist premier digest page - well worth a read IMO https://t.co/2KHmKvOb3o)
Wow, I am loving Guyabano Holiday by @panpanya. 'How to Forge a Journal' really felt like reading a master at work. I'm going to read it through once I think, then read it again & write some impressions about each short story. Just wanting to steep in it as much as possible.
@MangaMacPodcast All of those Akio Hotta manga sound worth reading. I'm nowhere near retirement age but I'd be super interested to read that one about retiring/aging! (...is that just me tho? π )
Here's hoping we get more & more non-fiction titles brought over as time goes on π€
@ScreentoneClub Really enjoying the picks and discussion this episode!
'Fund @elliotpage to make a continually updating database of digital manga releases' has gone on my 'when I get rich' list π
Been doing more speed-paint-y photo studies - I enjoy these! There's something freeing about just giving yourself a time limit & splatting the digital paint down as fast as possible π

Oh yeah, I decided to buy this after listening to the discussion about it on the @MangaInYourEars podcast, so go check that out if you'd like to hear more about it! π
Embrace Your Size by @hara_atsume: I loved this! Very resonant personal story, with caveats that the author's experience is not a universal answer to the pain of negative body image. Doesn't fall into any toxic positivity. Art is cute as heck too πΌ
