the clock on your tv screen isn’t the official game clock
the official clock is this other special one I have in a drawer over there you can’t see it right now though

Yes.
It should be apparent from the massive legal bills and constant court losses that it’s time for a change.
Institutions of higher education should know better.
What benefit is there to remaining in the NCAA?
Our Jaguar Family has heavy hearts this morning. We lost Coach Dean Taylor, a great teacher, coach, friend, mentor. Coach was our weights teacher & DB coach from 2007-2024, when he retired. He will be deeply missed; he impacted thousands of kids. Condolences to the Taylor’s! 🙏🏻
Brad Stevens shares his non-negotiables for life.
"I wanna enjoy who I'm working with. I wanna enjoy where I'm working. I wanna have a goal, but I also wanna enjoy the journey of getting to that goal."
"For me, it starts with being a great teammate. That is something I look for in people. Those relationships are probably the most important thing."
It starts with the people and the character of those people.
Then he explained what it means to show up every day:
"You put your signature on your work every day. You give it everything you have."
"You do it for the good of the whole. You do it to get better at your own job. You do it to improve the whole and see where the chips may fall."
It means giving your best effort and bringing a mindset of excellence to yourself and your team.
"I've been lucky enough to be on really good teams. Teams that have had chances to play for things that are really, really special."
Then he shared what stays with you:
"Very rarely when you look back on those teams - whether at Butler or here - do you think about the individual games or even the moments of the games."
"You think about the people and the individual times with the people."
"That's the special part about being a part of a sports team. That's why you walk through the building every day."
The relationships always stay.
Stevens' wisdom is simple: it comes down to character.
• Be a great teammate.
• Strive for excellence.
• Enjoy the people and the process.
Character isn't what you say - it's what you do consistently.

Overprotected kids become unprepared adults.
Dawn Staley nailed it.🔥
You can’t shelter your child from every hard moment and then expect them to handle adversity when it counts.
Hard is the lesson.

Geno Auriemma on set plays vs. reads
"We're trying to simulate playing the best teams in the country that won't let you run plays, & you just have to play basketball, play together, & play off each other ..."
Kids who play multiple sports outperform kids who pick one early.

The NCAA cognoscenti decry portal windows, “tampering” with players not under contract, and player compensation guidelines…the real issue is how college presidents, while lecturing us all about integrity and ethics, repeatedly interfere with fellow members’ employee contracts. This has been pro sports for decades. Start acting like it, and stop the hypocrisy of hiring fellow members’ coaches. The Coaches’ Portal is always open. And, try adding up the buyouts and make the case for not having enough money in college sports. We’ll wait.
