Concert day is upon us!
5th & 6th grade at 6:30, JH & HS at 7:45.
Concerts will be live streamed on the Cadet Zone YouTube Channel.
5th & 6th grade bands warm-up at 6 PM in the CHS Gym.
Audience is limited to students' household members and 2 non-household members per student.

We anticipate the restrictions on audience members will be the same as our concert in March.

Concert time change:
Our All School Band concert is schedule for May 11. For social distancing and anticipated attendance, we have decided to split into 2 concerts. The 5-6 band concert will be on May 11 at 6:30 PM in the CHS Gym, followed by the 7-12 band concert at 7:30.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is, in fact, Wednesday, and so it will be a group band day for Notre Dame and Crestwood's Wednesday group! The day after tomorrow is Thursday, so Thursday students will need their instrument then!
(Only 5 weeks until our final concert!)

The Super KCZQ radio station will broadcast the 5th grade, 6th grade, JH and HS bands' recent concert performances on Sunday, March 28th at 1:00 PM. If you'd like to hear our talented musicians perform, please tune in to 102.3 FM.

6th grade solo festival schedule is getting sent home today. If you need to change your performance time, please contact me as soon as possible.

There will be no 5th grade band practice or lessons on Tuesday, March 16th. 6th grade Notre Dame students will have their afternoon lessons.

7th grade music students are exploring the huge variety of jobs in the music industry, besides performers and singers. They're comparing similar careers and researching job descriptions, salaries, and other information about the music industry.

For our March 9 concert, audience members must be from the same household, plus 2 extra (per student) not in the same household. Multiple households are allowed.
Masks are required and social distancing between households is strongly encouraged. 
There is no sign-up form.

Band students, remember if you ever have to quarantine, we can set up Zoom band lessons, so you don't miss any chances to earn more band karate belts!

7th grade students wrote and shared original raps in small groups today. Students enjoyed using creative writing skills and even requested to share theirs again when the first time didn't go as rehearsed. Topics include: school, clothes, covid, dogs, and PlayStation vs. XBox.

5th graders in the Monday band group, remember your instruments! Even with the early dismissal, we still have group band and lessons.

All 6th grade Crestwood band members will be having group band together both Wednesday AND Thursday this week! Lessons will remain the same, be sure to remember your instrument on Wednesday.
