To be clear, the truckers protest isn't entirely about covid. That's a symptom of the disease. The source of the illness is governance in 🇨🇦, especially the west.
I support it at a level far beyond covid. It's time for equal fair representation in the west.
@MBrant75 Not at all. I think it's more fitting he speak in Toronto or Montreal than Calgary.
He's not addressing western issues, he's here to scrape votes in the east.
Pierre is going to campaign tomorrow in Calgary for Alberta to stay in Canada.
I sincerely hope no Albertan thinks he talking to them.
He's talking to the East, not us.

Treaty 8 Grand Chief Trevor Mercredi said First Nations have not given consent and will stop the referendum in any way they can, including getting in the way of industry, or, in his words, "getting out on the highway."

In case you didn't know.
After getting 61.7% support on the 2021 referendum for removing equalization from the constitution, this is what Premier Jason Kenney did.
First, he wrote a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asking for a meeting about the results.
The response was "No."
Next, he wrote a letter to the First Ministers asking for a meeting about the results.
The response was "No."
Finally, Kenney gave up.
This is the leadership that Kenney offered to Albertans who trusted him.
Now he's asking us to "Lead, not Leave" when the truth is Albertans cannot fix the Canadian system. We have tried. It's time we "Lead, and Leave."
Why is nobody asking why gov isn't prepared to lower spending, ffs???
We're in this situation because of gov spending. We will not be spending our way out of it.
At the end of the day, spending is the root cause of this separation movement.
Much of what she says will be start up costs already exists. We will just be taking it over ourselves. But let's just play with the Premier's numbers for a minute.
You are 30 years old. Currently you pay on average roughly $5,000/year more for government services than you receive. That adds up to $175,000 in overpayment over your working years. You can also look forward to paying more income tax as you continue to do better for yourself and your family.
Someone comes to you and says, "Hey, for a one time investment of $80,000 you'll be a founding member of a new country that will enjoy a much lower tax burden, higher standard of living, and no more being ruled by elites 1,000's of kms away. A realized savings of $95,000 not to mention free from the mess you are forced to support now."
Not a bad deal. I would take it🤷♀️
There's probably billions of billions... If millions, right?
Mrs. Premier, you're running dangerously close to losing whatever support I have left for you with these flippant comments while the average Albertan suffers from a tyranny they can't escape.
@Martyupnorth Not too rain on the parade, we thought Danielle had conservative tendencies too. We're now running the largest gov in Alberta's history....🤞
@AlbertanAFk@WSOnlineNews Extremely disappointed @ABDanielleSmith doesn't see this as an opportunity to lower gov spending, for once.
Does she still call herself conservative, or has the mask slipped a bit? 🙄
@bal4_rednirus I think you are aware that polling isn't black and white, no?
In any case, I have no horse in the federal race. They're all equally as bad, no point voting federally.
