@helenzille I support the DA, but the 48 hours did feel a bit performative. The ANC does not respect the DA, nor the country. I understand that the current outcome is likely the best realistic one for the country, but at the same time, the DA also seems to have to be abused by the ANC
@Makashule@StatsSA Yes I understand and agree that whites are per capita wealthier than any other racial group. But I think that is a different claim. I would be surprised if the growth in per capita were higher , or alternatively, if total purchasing power of the segment had grown faster.
@News24 I mean, this is just dishonest. One can support these measures, sure, but no need to dress them up in a way that they are not. Itโs sugar coating
@KoketsoResane The amount of double speak from the ANC is insane. Iโve never seen non racialism so conflated with ethnonationalism. In a way, it feels race relations are worsening.
@KoketsoResane There were a lot of woke white students who later went on to change their views. Itโs tough enough being young and figuring this all out - to be platformed and exploited is another thing
@waldenpod I understand and am sympathetic. But I do think the theist has the option of recognising the tension, and having hope in something greater. Recognising that there is tension, but believing despite that. I agree much of theism can be so blithe, and so absurd.
