๐ฆ Ranger Jon took this brilliant picture of a Speckled Wood laying eggs on grasses in orchard meadow at #Hillcrest Nature Reserve in #Exmouth!

โ๏ธWith the easing of some restrictions today and the brilliant weather forecast over the next few days it's the ideal time to venture around Exmouth for a spring walk.

The #WildExmouth project has a key focus on orchard creation across our town ๐
This is the orchard at #Hillcrest Nature Reserve which has been cared for by our volunteer team
Not long from now they will produce stunning blossom. Whatโs your favourite orchard in #Exmouth?
Flood run-off and rainwater inundation has now been emptied from @wildeastdevon Black Hole Marsh, boards and flaps going back in to capture the bigger tides over the next few days and refill the lagoon with brackish estuarine water. ๐๐ป
๐ฆ Did you know that Exmouth Local Nature Reserve is one of the largest LNRs in Devon?
#ExmouthLNR is @wildeastdevon's biggest reserve and comprises a large area of estuarine mudflats and sands in the #ExeEstuary.

The marvellous #TheMaer
Everyone is familiar with the big shifting sand dunes on the seafront, but just behind these dunes is a small static sand dune habitat, home to more rare species of plant than the rest of @WildEastDevon's Nature Reserves put together!

๐ณDid you know: Phear Park only received this name when it was given to the people of Exmouth by Miss Phear in the early twentieth century? Before that it was the parkland attached to Marpool Hall, which was demolished in 1951.

We have free trees or wildflower seeds to give to #Exmouth residents who sign up to our โMy Patch for Natureโ campaign. Sign up today ready for spring planting. https://t.co/ZabSMKRFNt
