#Winter is one of our favorite seasons for tracking #mountainlions. The snow enables us to easily find and follow their footsteps in the #mountains. We "captured" this #wild #puma a couple of weeks back in an area that is now flooded due to snow melt. We can't wait to get back!

The eastern #cougar, also known as #Puma is officially extinct from the face of the #earth now. It is also called as mountain lion. Reason behind extinction is habitat loss. When European settlers were coming to US they rounded up and killed them in huge numbers, which continued.
