We didn't replace it; we wrapped it.

The joinery was in good condition but the finish had gone milky where the elements had faded the wood. There was no reason to strip out a perfectly serviceable interior to achieve it.

Deckheads are a great example of where wrapping really earns its place on a superyacht.

For a refit, wrapping also means existing deckhead panels can often be refinished in situ, avoiding the disruption involved in removing them for spraying or replacing them altogether.

Years of sunlight had left the original woodwork faded and cloudy. Replacing all of the joinery would have meant a major refit; by wrapping the existing cabinetry in a natural oak finish, we were able to completely change the feel of the interior without removing & replacing it.
