Iran’s claim of neutrality is not credible.

Since 2022, Russia has used Iranian-designed Shahed drones to attack Ukraine. The European Union has sanctioned Iranian individuals, companies, airlines, shipping entities, and ports for supporting Russia’s war.

Ukraine says the vessels it attacked were transporting military cargo linked to Iran and Russia. Iran says the Iranian vessel was commercial.

Now a senior Iranian official is calling for Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian territory to be recognized.

A neutral country does not provide military support to one side and then endorse that side’s territorial claims.

This is not neutrality.

It is political and military alignment with Russia.

Kohberger can’t just “take back” his guilty plea because he changed his mind.

After sentencing, Idaho requires a high bar: he’d have to prove a serious legal defect, like coercion, incompetence, hidden evidence, or ineffective counsel.

And yes, he’s reportedly going with “ineffective counsel” — after telling the judge under oath he was satisfied with his lawyers and understood the plea.

Meanwhile, taxpayers have already spent $8M+ on the case, including nearly $5.5M for his public defense.

So no, regret isn’t a legal strategy.

It’s just an extremely expensive tantrum.

Yes, a few government-run grocery stores have stayed open.

Usually in tiny towns with no private grocer, public financing, subsidized costs, and taxpayers standing behind the register with a fire extinguisher.

That can be a useful public service.

It is not proof government can run a large urban grocery chain cheaper or more efficiently than private businesses.

Keeping the doors open with public money is not the same thing as running a successful business.

But sure—just call the subsidy “savings” and declare victory.
