Another fun filled day last Friday. We made willow hearts since it was Valentine's day, practiced our fire lighting skills, and made some bird feeders to help our feathered friends in this cold wet weather.

Some great fun was had last week exploring the park during Forest School, the children identified cherry, lime and horse chestnut trees and also looked at fungus. They then used their creative and problem solving skills to create and develop our ball runs!🌳

Fantastic day at forest school today. Great team work, rope work, knots, creativity, imagination and communication. The children created pulley systems, slides, a tightrope and a tree swing! 🌳🍃 #outdoorlearing #leadersoflearning

Another fabulous day at Kirktonholme. The children made fantastic bug dens, played in the mud, found bugs, enjoyed the hammocks, tightrope, ball run, and marshmallows around the fire.
Thank you to the staff and children for making us so welcome 🌞🌧 🤣.
