Due to strong winds forecast tomorrow we have made the decision to close the Wild Strawberry Café on Saturday 10th August for the day. We apologise for the inconvenience however we feel this is the safest option for our customers, staff and our yurt! 💨 🌬
Eat less from a box and more from the earth #plantpower We are so excited to be catering this incredible week of yoga, wellness and plant-based cuisine in Ibiza this April! Read more here https://t.co/Z7X51LLAor
@TincanCoffeeCo Brilliant! Yes, really pleased to see people talking about food choices and sourcing. Plus the important issue that veggies are not shielded from the same environmental and sustainability questions that are so often just directed towards meat/dairy industry!
@HenryDimbleby@HollyLTucker Just listened to this brilliant podcast, one of the best in her series. Your work in schools is truly inspirational and something we’d love to get involved with. Why on Earth is seasonal eating and cooking not a key part of the curriculum?!
@GregPaulHayes@SkyNews Think what you please but if we were purely profit driven we probably wouldn’t remove the most popular item from our menu! We pay above the odds for most of our ingredients as we believe in using top notch, ethical suppliers. Trust me, our profit margins could do with some work!
@tomadlam56 True. But we don’t have a local alternative to coffee. We are super careful with our coffee sourcing and source above fair trade from single origin suppliers. Avocados are trickier for us to trace and we have plenty of local alternatives, making these food miles unnecessary.
@WildStrawb_Cafe well done on your stance on avocados. Will be checking from now on to make sure my avocados are close by and not miles away. Thanks for raising the issue.
Due to an unplanned power cut the cafe is currently closed. We have been advised the power will be back on in a couple of hours but we will keep you updated. Apologies for any inconvenience!
