Governor Greg Abbott just declared a public health disaster due to COVID-19—the first of its kind in Texas since 1901.
All schools will be closed through April 3. The state will review reopening at that time depending on the state of the disease. More details will be forthcoming.

Birdville ISD to offer FREE meals for students during closure beginning Wed., Mar 18. Pickup stations are in front of Birdville Elem, Binion Elem, West Birdville Elem, and Watauga Elem from 11 a.m. - noon for anyone age 18 and under. Students must be present to receive a meal.
