@headstrongxena -in museums, reading every little sign, properly inspecting every little detail of every little item. It's like a bookstore to me.
I'm jealous as hell.
@headstrongxena The feeling you get when you walk through a buliding like that. Seeing the chairs.. tables.. beds.. realising that hundreds of years ago, someone sat on that, slept in that bed, brushed their hair while looking in that mirror...
Nothing like it. I can spend hours and hours --
@headstrongxena THAT is in /your/ home town? Ugh, I'm so envious of all you Europeans that get to live with all this history right there on your doorsteps.
Cape Town is gorgeous, true, but still.. I love old things. Old buildings. Can't get enough of them.
@headstrongxena I wish. Here in SA we have nothing.
I remember Lewd used to send me photos of the castle that stands in her home town too. Though it was more of a little village than town, if you ask me. So, so jealous.
@headstrongxena That's the same here in Cape Town. The only castle we have, that's not even a castle if you ask me, also have these tiny doorways and beds. I think all Europeans back then were short as hell.
@GuidedByLoyalty That sounds like a dream come true. I can do with one of those, but until then...
...I suppose we'll just have to take turns driving. I'm not old enough to buy a beer yet, but I sure as hell have my driver's license.
[Nods all seriously]
When do we leave?
