The Blue Whistling Thrush occurs in the Himalayas from Pakistan to Arunachal Pradesh and the hills of north-east India. Outside the Indian subcontinent its range extends north-west to Turkestan, north-east into China, and south to Sumatra.
The Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon reaches higher elevations than other Treron pigeons. In the Indian subcontinent, it is a common resident of the Himalayas, from Pakistan to Arunachal Pradesh and north-east India, and it reaches further east to mainland south-east Asia.
The Golden-throated Barbet's main range is mainland south-east Asia, reaching the Indian subcontinent in north-east India and in the Himalayas west to west-central Nepal. It occurs in moist broadleaf forest in the subtropical and temperate zone.
The Bar-throated Siva is found in the Himalayas from Himachal Pradesh to Arunachal Pradesh and locally in north-east India. Further east it reaches western China, northern Vietnam and the Malay Peninsula. It is a bird of oak-rhododendron and mixed conifer-broadleaf forest.
The White-gorgeted Flycatcher is a scarce resident of the Himalayas from central Nepal to Arunachal Pradesh and the hills of north-east India, as well as further east to northern Vietnam. It is an elusive bird of dense undergrowth in moist broadleaf forest.
The Dark-rumped Rosefinch occurs in the Himalayans mainly from Sikkim west to Arunachal Pradesh, as well as in adjacent northern Myanmar. It extends further north-east through China reaching Sichuan.
The Ludlow's Fulvetta was described from specimens taken by Frank Ludlow in Bhutan in 1933. It is a restricted range species, occuring in the Eastern Himalayas from eastern Bhutan, adjacent south-east Tibet and northern Myanmar to Arunachal Pradesh.
The Speckled Wood Pigeon occurs along the Himalayas, from Pakistan to Arunachal Pradesh, and into north-west India,Myanmar and western China. It occurs in broadleaf forest and feeds largely on fruits, performing nomadic movements in response to food availability.
The Solitary Snipe is found in montane central and east Asia, from the Central Asian republics to Kamchatka and south to the Himalayas, where it occurs patchily from Pakistan to Arunachal Pradesh and in the hills of north-east India.

The White-bellied Heron is a rare bird restricted to the Eastern Himalayan foothills, north-east India, north-east Bangladesh and northern Myanmar. It is listed by BirdLife International as Critically Endangered due to its tiny population and loss of it's habitat.
The yellow-breasted bunting is a small passerine, ranging from 14 to 16 cm (5.5 to 6.3 in) in length, and weighing 17 to 26 g (0.6 to 0.9 oz). For a bunting, it is large and rather stocky.

The Himalayan Cutia is patchily distributed in the Himalayas from Uttar Pradesh to Nepal, and in a continuous band from Bhutan east to Arunachal Pradesh and north-east India. Its range reaches south to the Malay Peninsula and east to Vietnam.
The Fire-tailed Myzornis occurs in the Himalayas from central Nepal to Arunachal Pradesh, it's range extending east to northern Myanmar and south-west China. Summer habitat is rhododendron and juniper shrub and oak-rhododendron forest.
The Coral-billed Scimitar Babbler occurs along the Himalayas from eastern Nepal to Arunachal Pradesh and in north-east India, its range extending east to northern Vietnam. It inhabits dense undergrowth and bamboo in subtropical broadleaf forest.
The Yellow-rumped Honeyguide is a rare and local resident of the Himalayas, from Pakistan to Arunachal Pradesh, north-east India, and into Myanmar, and is listed as Near Threatened by BirdLife International.
The Mandarin Duck range comprises Japan, Korea, south-east Siberia and China. It occurs in the Indian subcontinent as a vagrant.

The Himalayan Monal is distributed through the Himalayas from Afghanistan to Arunachal Pradesh, reaching northern Myanmar in the east. It is a species of high altitudes, summering in the Alpine zone, descending to winter in forests lower down.
The Black-throated Sunbird has a somewhat more easterly distribution in the Himalayas than other Aethopyga. Further east it is found over much of mainland south-east Asia.
Habitat is more open secondary forest at lower elevations, particularly shrubs in the undergrowth.
