@6ixbuzztv I feel like reaching the knockouts will feel like "mission accomplished"
Getting to R16 would be a great success. Anything beyond that is gravy.
@PolandHockey I've been saying this for years, but even go one step further and add qualifying rounds and tie-ins to the World Cup.
Here's a mockup I made a few years ago (hence Russia/Belarus inclusion and seedings not being accurate), but basically this.
@The_JerseyNerds Actually wait, Iโll say 1983/1984
Individually both of these are great, but together it looks like a practice scrimmage of the same team
@DailyFaceoff@IIHFHockey@MLarkinHockey Hear me out:
For reasons you illustrated, the World Cup would be a dud
BUT, what about a Euros? Especially if it omits the classic WCoH teams, and/or acts as a qualifier?
I think that would have the potential to be some fantastic hockey
Lets try this again!
The Last Chance Showdown Finals poll is here as a Google Form: https://t.co/2XwpRWT4Xf
Help us decide which of @Beaviwi89 and @dk_evan62504 moves onto the Concept Champs Cup
You need a google account to vote. If you dont have one, DM @WillButala to vote
@Silly_Designing Ah yes the beautiful city of Detroit, Illinois
Honestly not terrible but having the California teams switched around is kinda funny, also looks like you have Ottawa inside Quebec
Wait hold up this idea actually cooks. More "team-game" orientated than the current shootout. Although attention gets divided between both ends and that's not necessarily great.
Hull City firmly believe they should be promoted given Southampton were expelled after knocking Middlesbrough out.
Hull unhappy with limited days to prepare for a new opponent and exploring legal options. A challenge after the final is not ruled out.๐ฝ
Idea: Pitch Madness
Knockout bracket with 64 teams consisting of Euro teams and some mid-tier invites. (or use byes but where's the fun in that). Have it as a Euros warmup or something on a non-Euro/WC year. Mostly for fun I guess but maybe winner gets rights to host Euros?
The storied history of England vs San Marino duly dies, as UEFA makes the sensible, always-inevitable, but nostalgically quite sad decision to stop the best teams facing the worst teams in European qualifiers. England unlikely to ever play Faroe Islands or Gibraltar now
