@erasedangelface There were some old Marvel omnibuses my dad owned of stuff from the 60s & 70s I used to love reading & I eventually started borrowing graphic novels/trade paperbacks from the library, too. Will Eisner really knocked it out of the park with A Contract With God, I'll tell you that.

@jpalmiotti An excellent Will Eisner recreation. He had passed on by the time I’d discovered his excellent Sequential Art book.

From the placard:

M16A1 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PUBLICATION

Identifying problems with the M16A1 rifle and specifying preventive maintenance measures to ensure the weapon was operational were addressed in this publication.

The description doesn’t mention that the cover art (and probably the interior art, as well) was done by the legendary Will Eisner.
