We as a society need to establish the difference between these 3 things in sports, because it feels like there’s way too many different opinions on what they mean:
- Greatest
- Best
- Most Talented
Can we please stop with the pity party “Buffalo is cursed” bullshit? We got a bad bounce. Sometimes the better team doesn’t always win. I’m so sick of the 3 week pity party that we have every time we get eliminated. This team is gonna be good for a long time and will be back. Chill. #LetsGoBuffalo
Can the Bills fans please take their dooms day attitudes back to the Bills please? Not even remotely the same scenario. Were the second youngest team in the NHL. Our best players and young guys coming up are:
Thompson - 28
Norris - 26
Dahlin - 26
Luukkonen - 26
Samuelsson - 25
Byram - 24
Quinn - 24
Doan - 23
Power - 23
Kulich - 21
Ostlund - 21
Benson - 21
Helenius - 20
Mrtka - 18
We’re gonna be fine, it’s not an aging super star. Take your negativity elsewhere. Thanks. #LetsGoBuffalo
This season was something special.
Memories were made at KeyBank Center and beyond that felt a little like magic, and brought our community together in old and new ways. Buffalo proved itself the hockey town it’s always been.
And now, the wagon rolls on.
This thing of ours is forever, Buffalo. And a new era of Sabres hockey is just beginning.💙💛
The ESPN broadcast for Sabres/Canadiens is so unbelievably biased towards Montreal that it’s almost unwatchable. Anti-Buffalo any chance they can get. Be better @espn this is embarrassing.
Of course that’s your contention. You’re a first-year grad student. You just got finished watching some Jordan propaganda documentary, probably The Last Dance, and now you’re convinced nobody will ever touch him. That’s gonna last until next month when you actually start looking at the numbers, then you’re gonna be talking about LeBron leading both teams in every major stat in the 2016 Finals and coming back from 3-1 against a 73-win Warriors team. Then next year you’re gonna be in here regurgitating longevity stats, talking about 40,000 points, being elite for over 20 years, eight straight Finals appearances, and carrying absolute roster disasters to June every season. You’re gonna realize the greatest player ever isn’t just about highlights and sneakers it’s about being the best overall basketball player for the longest period of time, and nobody in NBA history checks every box like LeBron James.
