Few nuggets from my early convo with the speaker this morning:

1) JOHNSON seems to be considering moving a short-term FISA bill in the House. no guarantees he can pass it....

2) JOHNSON said some in the W.H. are considering an E.O. to extend Sec 702. "Presumably he has some executive authority, so we'll see."

3) JOHNSON said that Trump is intent on nominating a permanent DNI. And "probably the sooner that happens the better for all this."

Washington, DC is seeing a MASSIVE decrease in crime since President Trump's crackdown in the capital his initial deployment of the National Guard in 2025.
