Lately I have been considering the trajectory of building, shipping, and selling whether through mobile/web apps or digital products.
I believe we are shifting eras because products are easier to create and release the focus moves toward distribution, and at some point we decide how to make them go viral, altering the core design to match that reach.
Yet it seems fewer products retain a sense of character, as everything becomes a copy of a copy of what spread widely.
Perhaps AI could offer a chance to craft products with character.
@wendy7756@pcshipp It makes sense that having an extra step in between can cause more frustration but lead to better conversion. It makes me think it might work the same way with long paywalls on iOS.
Yes, it is essential for me to earn a living from my apps while remaining true to my belief that technology should shape people’s journeys in some way. When I begin a project, I first ask whether I believe in it if so,I check for demand, knowing I am moving in the right direction.
@kelvinbuildss Focus on the paywall your app now signals you must identify the barrier between that signal and conversion.
The issue centers on copywriting, since users typically purchase apps to address a pain point or a desire ensure you manage both, or the audience may become confused.
@raf_piek If your project is engaging enough to encourage work on other aspects while AI handles that scenario, you might remain focused on the same project.
@raf_piek Totally agree with that. What you are building needs to be strong enough for you to work on it in the dark days from a real paint point you're facing yourself or a true desire.
Claude Code on desktop now works with the iOS simulator.
Build and run your iOS app, and the simulator opens in a panel right next to your conversation. Available today in public beta.
