@jonnyrmcfarlane Roxburgh was conservative in his line ups, which meant in 1990 he still saw Leighton as first choice based on what he'd been in the 80s rather than what he was then.
By 98, sadly, Goram was completely shot.
@sweirz A couple of weeks ago she wrote that anyone who had a problem with Celtic was just being a bigot. So going by this logic, is she just bigoted toward Jews?
@RSA_Observer Its a lot easier for police to blame DEI than it is to confront the fact officers make dreadful decisions.
Police will blame whatever they have to in these circumstances.
@SnakeDerick People always hark back to that season and ignore context. There wasn't as much of a financial gulf then, teams were more even, so dropping points was more common.
You need more points per game to win titles now than in the 90s.
@DavidKerno18424@gazpop81@Official_T4O I'd not have Amoruso anywhere near that conversation. When you rewatch CL games of the era, he really did struggle most of the time at that level.
The fact he performed well in a couple of OF games has really coloured perceptions. I really find it strange.

@DavidKerno18424@gazpop81@Official_T4O Its an all time Scottish eleven.
However as an aside you can't be serious in claiming Amoruso as a candidate for the overall all time xi. A lot of revisionism about his time at the club. So many unforced errors in big games that people forget.
@RangersFcDaily Oh good we're back on the "throw 22 year olds from different nations together at random strategy" again. Its worked so well lately. Sigh.
@Jas72Boyd@Alan_Morrison67@jucojames These guys know full well that probabilities are used to project future events, and actuals used for previous ones. But that doesn't suit their narrative so they pretend otherwise.
@stevenm93914528@Jas72Boyd Its not just big decisions though - its all the small ones though. The variance in bookings per foul has been happening for years. You can't ignore that kind of consistent pattern.
@ibroxrocks The fundamental problem is they aren't interested in it being better. They are happy with the corrupt status quo and don't mind being embarrassed in the process.
@nick_gallacher Its not one guy, its an increasingly common train of thought.
Even if they do work, the kind of repetition you're looking for doesn't work at international level because of limited training time. It hasn't evolved in the last 20 years like the club game at elite level.
@nick_gallacher Yeah, what are you thinking? In sport it's always up to the player in question having the skill to know the right move at the right time. Its not American Football.
