An excellent #Eurocrim23 panel based on the @INTERACTpolice project. Scottish researchers talked about digital policing and technologically-mediated contact between police and public.

Really enjoyed working on this paper with the @INTERACTpolice team, a fascinating look at Single Online Home as one of the web-based portals used by UK public to interact with the police.
If you get chance, have a read of our paper from the #PACONDAA project out in @SocCultGeog. Bringing Rhizome to poverty geogs. great to work alongside @SVShubin & @tsowgat on this

@RockinRicky1 @VolvoCarUK @jeanettegriggs The battery on an EV could power an entire house for around 5 days, so some twinkly lights make no effect whatsoever.
We were getting around 200 ‘police miles’ of range - the way we drive is obviously different to a normal customer, so range will be less for us.
Great to see a recent blog post introducing one of the Postdoctoral Research Fellows on the INTERACT project, Estelle Clayton. We are excited to work with Estelle & she will play a key role in the project, engaging with police and publics across Scotland

The plot thickens... interesting to see "classic car" specified here, defined on tax exempt status? Is there a future for modifying electric cars under these proposed rules?

Tackling tampering/ modification of road vehicles? Would be interesting to see a definition for "tampering" and to know how this would be implemented...also relies on definition of "legitimate improvement to vehicles" (see next tweet) 1/2
How is it that when in a hurry the printer will not scan my ID card, held up against the sensor...but today when I brushed past the printer, it successfully scanned my card from my pocket!?
One curse of short term contracts- books/post take a while to catch up to you. Grateful to colleagues at @BangorSNS forwarding this book onto me at @UCLan Can't wait to get stuck in but not sure when it was sent out!

Enjoyable @SCGRG_RGS AGM, with lots of ideas for future activities. Huge thanks to @Will_Geog for all the work he does as secretary - exemplary in a role that is hidden but vital! Here’s an example of Will’s research on enthusiasm, cars and labour:
