Excluding minor, there are 8 big #gaa championship games next weekend. Why are we destroying our games by running them off as blitzes. GPA, let's hear from you.
Pathetic behaviour that. It would be cowardly to do it to anyone. But to do it to an old man out celebrating a huge win for his county. Big man.
If your previous pitch isn’t fit to be walked on, it’s not fit to play on.
For clarity, this is a marketing piece masquerading as “study” by a private company that makes money from getting compensation from airlines. Dublin Airport is rated a 4 star airport by (the reputable) Skytrax and our own independent passenger satisfaction scores have sat consistently at all-time high levels for the past 2 years and were 8.8/10 in 2025. We’re always looking at ways we can improve things further for passengers and will continue to be guided by feedback from reputable and reliable sources.
Do not use StubHub. I purchased $1,500 of Journey tickets from them. They promised delivery before 4:30pm for a 7:30pm show. I spent 3 hours in the afternoon trying to get the tickets. Nothing. The venue was an hour from my home. At 6:30 no resolution, no contact. I did not go. I received upgraded tickets from them via email at 7:37pm via email. The show had started. I asked for a complete refund. They refused. They said I could have seen most of the show. These people are criminals. Period. @StubHub
Another super away win for the senior footballers this afternoon. Great second half, performance scoring 1:10 and conceding just 2 points.
Congrats to the players & management. 👏👏
Police release CCTV of man wanted over sexual assault on train
British Transport Police have released clear CCTV images of a man they urgently need to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted.
The attack happened around 1pm on Thursday 23 April on a train travelling from Warrington Bank Quay to Manchester Oxford Road.
The victim was standing in the vestibule area between the carriages when she was assaulted.
The man has a shaved head and was wearing a black tank top with grey shorts at the time.
Police say he may have vital information that could help the investigation.
Anyone who recognises him or has information should contact British Transport Police by texting 61016, calling 0800 40 50 40 (quoting reference 328 of 23 April) or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Since @KwikFitCS are refusing to acknowledge my emails, complaint form and will not call me, I thought I’d share this with everyone here. Last July, the cowboy mechanics at Kwik Fit told me that whilst they had my car for 6 hours, they had replaced the CV boots on my car. Today, I took it to my garage for its MOT and the tester revealed that Kwik Fit had not touched them. Perished rubber exceeding a year was obvious. So Kwik Fit took £300 from me and did not complete any of the work listed on my receipt. I’m hoping that this tweet will maybe jumpstart them into having a conversation with me and giving me my money back. Given that the cost of living is extortionate generally, I think everyone could do without Kwik Fit’s daylight thievery.
Does anyone know Liam McLoughlin from Belfast? I sent him £210 for 3 x Liverpool tickets which never materialised, I’ve since been told he’s ripped a lot of people off and owes thousands. Steer clear! Just putting it out there so people are aware. Calls himself “king daddy” 😂
"A heavily pregnant cat has escaped from a house on Lanesboro Street, Roscommon Town on Friday 24th April. She has a slight frame, she is black with small white spot on chest and heavily pregnant. She is friendly and has a hoarse meow but will likely be shy as doesn't know the area. She may be hiding but will be hungry being pregnant. Photo attached is not her but very similar. Please keep an out and check sheds and out houses. If you see her or happen to be feeding her please contact Anne on 086 2412441 or message Roscommon SPCA CLG Facebook page. Please tell your neighbours and friends and help us get this cat indoors so she can have her kittens in a safe place."
Dublin GAA confirm Ger Brennan unsuccessful in DRA case.
‘Ger Brennan did at all times accept that he should receive some sanction for the incident, however the weight of the penalty imposed on a volunteer member is an unduly
heavy burden.’
Dean Rock to deputise in interim.
