Cortisone shot to the knee, and all the hell else: just ro stop the pain, but the runner still runs, and then the knee blows out completely.
The back pain demands a walker now.

If you mask the pain: you think you're better, yet make the issue worse.
Yes, cells heal without the brain, but if you don't give them a chance to heal: it won't.
Eventually the pain killers can't mask all the damage.

@rwerkh @DrNeilStone You have back pain. You need to rest it, to heal. Instead you take pain meds: mask it, and hurt it some more. It becomes chronic, seems permanent after a year.
In 1800 and in 3rd worlds they grow cocaine or opium to have pain meds, but you must buy engineered meds with patents
