Partly why RE brokers are so valuable is they provide **full-time expertise** for **moment-in-time transactions.** Without them, the alternative for companies would be:
1.) Hire a full time RE Director - This is very unnecessary for most companies and the lifetime salary would far exceed most commissions (plus they'd be bored out of their mind when RE isn't a top priority)
2.) Have the CEO (or somebody) become a market and transaction expert, distracting them from their day to day job.
The calculus really isn't that hard to understand. The key is hiring a broker who is truly a full-time professional with loads of experience.
The industry doesn't need less brokers. It needs better brokers.
