The difference grows wider when using GDP per capita. Pacifica would rank fourth in the country (same as California) with about $101,000 per capita while Inlandia would have a GDP per capita of just over $40,000, similar to Puerto Rico and about $10,000 lower than Mississippi.
Coastal California (Pacifica) would have a GDP of roughly $2.76 trillion while Inland California (Inlandia) would have a GDP of $486.9 billion. Pacifica would remain America’s richest state while Inlandia would slip to 20th (just above Minnesota).
