One year out of the shelter and NOT a single day in a home 😔
This is Max.
We rescued him from Corpus Christi Texas one year ago with an adopter already lined up. We believed his life was about to change. We believed he was safe. But after Max went through his heartworm treatment that we paid for, the adopter bailed on him.

And since then…
Max has lived only in boarding. No couch, no “home”. Just waiting…

We’re not posting fancy pictures of Max because there is nothing fancy about spending a year in boarding and this is not what we signed up for when we committed to rescue.
And it’s surely not what Max deserves.

Max is a good boy 🥺
He loves meeting people, walks right up with a happy tail, and is great with other dogs. He’s 3 years old, healthy, neutered, and ready — so ready — to finally belong to someone.

He has done everything right.
The system just hasn’t shown up for him yet.
