India’s Kaveri engine is more than an engineering project—it represents the country’s ambition to build its own advanced military aircraft engines. Despite decades of technical challenges and delays, the programme has helped develop critical expertise in indigenous propulsion technology.

Although the Kaveri has not powered the Tejas fighter in operational service, its technology could contribute to future projects, including unmanned combat aerial vehicles and next-generation aviation systems. Developing a reliable jet engine remains one of the toughest challenges in aerospace engineering, requiring advances in materials, cooling, combustion and turbine design.

The Kaveri story is ultimately about India’s pursuit of defence self-reliance. Can the lessons learned from this programme help India build the engines that power its future fighters and stealth drones?

Who is radicalising Western youth against Hindu Indians?

A Hindu pilot reportedly saved many lives during an Islamic terrorist attack on a plane, yet a wave of anti-Hindu hatred followed. The hostility has become deeply alarming, with a radicalised white extremist allegedly attempting to attack Hindus at a temple.

This is where dangerous hate campaigns can lead: from online hostility to real-world violence.

Let’s be clear: most Westerners are peaceful people who respect India and Indians. They must not be blamed for the actions of extremists.

But hatred directed at Hindus must be confronted, whether it comes from radical Islamist groups, white supremacists, or any other extremist ideology.

No Hindu should have to fear for their safety because of their faith. If the West fails to confront religious hatred and radicalisation, its own social harmony will pay the price.
