Congratulations to Sehar Kaur Sidhu, an eighth-grade student from Bellewood Public School, for her outstanding achievements at the Canada-Wide Science Fair 2024.

Sehar earned several prestigious awards, including the Excellence Award Silver for her project "Delving Deep Into SARS-CoV-2," the Challenge Award in Disease and Illness, the Sanofi Biogenius Canada Award, and a Western University Entrance Scholarship.

On Friday, students and staff enjoyed the annual Cardboard Carnival in the gym, savoured snow cones on the front lawn, participated in the We Care for Kids fundraiser, and proudly raised the Pride Flag.

In June, the GECDSB recognizes National Indigenous History Month. It is a time to celebrate and reflect upon the history, contributions, and strength of First Nations, Inuit and Métis, and to learn about, celebrate and honour Indigenous knowledge and role models. Throughout June we will be sharing Indigenous resources, courses and activities that are available to GECDSB students and staff.
