My students have benefited tremendously from using Typing Club in the classroom. This software has helped them learn the home keys and increase their typing speed. https://t.co/HVYMjjv4Mu
Only 14% of 8th graders read on their own almost every day, according to the NAEP--a new low.
One reason? A focus on teaching comprehension "skills" has drained the joy from reading.
And it hasn't boosted comprehension.

@AnndiCaldwell@Alabama_Reading I was in Cohort 2 and completed it a few years ago. It was tough but by far the best training I’ve had! I hope y’all are able to go back to face to face meetings. It was much more informative for me that way as opposed to virtual.

We’re in a literacy crisis. Our children deserve a better approach.

@Etress_UWA I don’t know who’s more excited with getting AMSTI kits: my students or me! They present the kids with a hands on approach and the fact that they furnish EVERYTHING needed for each experiment/lesson is huge for my bank account!
