INDIANA - GREENWOOD ARREST!!!

The man taken into custody in Indiana is Amritpal Singh
seen below in the released FBI documents. He was arrested in Greenwood.

37 defendants from around the world charged in what is known as "Operation Hard Ball.”

The Department of Justice just announced the arrests and said the man from Indiana, one from Georgia and 11 from California are all expected to be in federal court today.

According to a California
US Attorney, law enforcement arrested 24 of the defendants so far who they say are connected to three India-based transnational organized crime groups.

The groups are accused of targeted killings, murder for hires, kidnappings, shootings, extortion, and large amounts of drug trafficking .

The California US Attorney alleges in one case a suspect tried to extort 5 million dollars by threatening death to a family living in LA.

One of the men arrested is accused of running a gang out of prison. The DOJ says there are more than 1,000 members with the more than 100 associates living and working out of the United States.

Regarding Amritpal Singh, he has another name Amritpal Singh Bal. He was arrested in Greenwood.

According to the court documents he is accused of managing networks of long-haul semi-truck drivers and local
couriers transporting bulk quantities of cocaine and meth.
