Delayed post: At approximately 11:55 AM, Willington Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle accident on Tolland Tpke in the area of common Rd. UCONN ambulance transported one patient and units were back in service by 12:30 PM.
We are pleased to announce that Ambulance 613 has been placed into service. Itโs a 2011 F450 dubbed the green machine. A-613 previously served the Town of Barnstead New Hampshire before coming to Willington.

Willington Fire Department #1 is pleased to announce that Captain Sydney Kern was successful in obtaining a grant for 9 volt and AA batteries for Town Residents to change their smoke and CO detectors batteries. Batteries are available by emailing [email protected].

Schofield Rd near Rt. 32
The 200 block of Turnpike Rd is closed
The 100 block of Balazs Rd.
At approximately 0110hrs Willington Fire along with Willington Hill Fire, Windham Hospital Paramedic and LifeStar were dispatched to the 100 block of Pinney Hill Rd. for a MVA with entrapment. One patient was extricated and transported by LifeStar to a trauma center.
