Paving on Willmar Avenue from 7th Street SW to 5th Street SE on Thursday, August 15th. 1st Street will still be open to north/south traffic. This section of Willmar Ave expected to re-open to traffic ASAP when temp. traffic marking in place.

Due to a train derailment last evening, the RR Crossing at Lakeland Drive is temporarily closed while repairs and railcar removal is underway. Expected to reopen on Friday (08/09/24). There is no danger to the public. Please use alternate routes!

No general parking in Robbins Island (handicapped available). Shuttle busses every 15 minutes to / from the Community Center, Heritage Bank, Middle School & Kennedy Elementary!

Area is 1st to 7th St. SW & Trott Ave to the Bypass. OK to use city parking lots. Any vehicles left on the streets will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Hit & Run Fatal Update...The pedestrian that died in the hit & run crash on 12/26 in Willmar has been identified as Jason Daniel Jarvis, age 52 of Cokato, MN.

On 12/27, a 33 year old male from Willmar turned himself in to police. A vehicle has been seized as evidence.

Willmar Police are investigating an apparent hit & run pedestrian crash at First St & Willmar Ave. Happened approximately 8:07pm, Tuesday. Pedestrian transported to hospital by ambulance.

5' tall, dark long hair, eyelash extensions, nose and ear piercings. Last seen wearing ripped jeans, a zip up sweatshirt and white Croc shoes.

Willmar PD will be conducting training today (Monday, June 26th) at Community Christian School in Willmar.

The Willmar Public Works Dept is declaring a temporary no parking alert for the Central Business District from 10pm to 6am for parking stall painting.
Area affected = 1st St to 7th St & Trott Ave to Hwy 12 bypass. Vehicles may be subject to tow.
