@lennycornwall @NHSDigital My son has been out of area for 5+ years- he’s just living in hospital no treatment. They get him out of hospital daily doing all sorts of things but still no plans 2get him back home it’s criminal and traumatic after being sexually & physically abused in there by other patients

@branwenjeffreys My autistic son was sectioned when support was stopped and he was heavily medicated .. this was nov20 and he’s still sectioned 5 years later because now there’s no services to help him return home. Absolutely tragic

@autcareandshare Could you please mention the thousands that are never mentioned like ones that are sectioned and have no advantage of coming back because there’s no services, they are a minority that suffer greatly and their families.. once size doesn’t fit all unfortunately. It’s criminal

@_AndersSorensen My boy was 16 when put on anti psychotic drugs, he’s had every single one of them. He’s 29 and sectioned - he’s still on them but shouldn’t be he has ATRX syndrome and a LD… it’s criminal and a waste of a life

This syndrome is ignored totally from dx. The ignorance of professionals and no support is criminal when other syndromes get all support. Just throw them in secure hospitals and that’s it! Yes this is a shitty syndrome only because there’s no help at all for families !!

It is traumatising to visit psych institutions and witness so many drugged people together. Psychiatry needs to wake up from its dark history of drugging vulnerable citizens. Now we have a pandemic of sleepwalkers living subconsciously. This is not a solution for human problems.
