@PremiumHeart88 You have a family & they are your priority, you cannot be beholden to others with unrealistic/ unaligned expectations, it's just going to end up in no-win outcomes.
@AaronAFLFantasy@tommorris32@7AFL@1116sen Crocker was an assistant & did interim mens coach before. He didn't want the job (he's a long term clubman & maybe he saw that at the time he was on a hiding to nothing? π€)
@PremiumHeart88 It can also be hard to keep up on those sort of groups when everyone has their own things going on - but for me connections are what you make of them. I value meaning & for the best ones there is never pressure to reply in a hurry or keep up. Time inbetween is just, in between π
@PremiumHeart88 My wife limits our screentime (which is a good thing π€£) but still hard to open their worlds up 20 mins at a time! They keep wanting to come back though - I think our games room overwhelms them for choice though (lucky we only start the timer once the consoles get switched on!)
@PremiumHeart88 My wife is not a gamer (thankfully she tolerates me & my hobby, lol!), so it's great to connect with others & know that my gaming, parenting & life struggles aren't just my own.
@PremiumHeart88 Also, I saw a post from you the other day saying you copped a bit from a few around these parts. I know you will anyway, but keep being you! You are great to engage with & I love your content & humour. You are self depreciating & humble, but remember 2never talk yourself down β€οΈ
@PremiumHeart88 I can't bring myself to it - physical is my way to go & I'll keep going with that. I have every major console from the 2600 to the PS5. I'll never stop gaming, but I may stop buying new Jenπ if they all go digital. I need to touch the media & connect with the people I play with.
@PremiumHeart88 Yeah, bit they are what makes them memories! Fights over the stupid things π€£
I have a sizable physical collection that I've built over the years, but I'm always trying to find more multiplayers for games nights. 8 screen MKDD on the gamecube is a favourite. It's about connection
@PremiumHeart88 Yeah, I did a lot more gaming than my siblings,so I usually came out on top when there was competition, but also enjoyed sharing games like Zelda OOT & earlier, as well as Mana games & Lufia (though I've forgotten most of it now, so I should return to it!)
@PremiumHeart88 That's awesome! Yeah, it was quite a leap! My parents are approaching their 80s now & whilst I was always provided for (one of 5, some of us liked games) they never joined us - it was a kid's thing.
I didn't get much to compete with my parents on, it wasn't our dynamic...
@PremiumHeart88 My fellow parenting mates all share any mariokart meme where the theme is that you teach them about the real world through it, like "this is serious" & you never let them win π€£
@PremiumHeart88 I like RPGs, but play most genres. When my boys start doing this to me and I won't know whether to be proud or angry (likely both)! π€£
