Reception class enjoyed a visit to the Visitors Centre at Manchester Airport yesterday as part of their transport topic learning. It was amazing - we got to explore grounded aircraft, watch the planes take off and land and even got to walk around Concorde!
We've all had a shower, had our tea and settled down for the evening. We've had fun on the playpark, enjoyed some snacks and playing games in the common room before bed! #year6#Castleshaw#Residential
Our groups had the best time today on their residential. Lots of fun with our friends, learning new skills and experiencing new activities! A few more pictures from this afternoon. #year6#Castleshaw#residential

This week in history, Year 3 learnt all about Ancient Egyptian mummification, afterlife and the importance of this ritual to the Ancient Egyptians. We then made Adobe Spark presentations to display our learning. #History#AncientEgypt#Curriculum#KS2
Year 2 were so excited to have the chance to look at Year 5 French books today. We recognised lots of familiar vocabulary and were impressed with how much work there was and how neat the books are.
In PSHE, Year 1 have been learning about how boys and girls parts of the body are different and what makes us unique. We thought about privacy and we know our rights around the PANTS rule. We used the 'Pantosaurus' song to help us with this.

In Reception this week, as part of their learning in History, the children have been looking at different types of transport and how these have changed over time. They looked at lots of photographs and sorted these into transport from the past and present.
