🧵Things I now believe to be true.
Scotland has not just watched a party finance scandal. It has watched the state, the party machine and the prosecution system close ranks in real time.
The public were expected to notice nothing.
Unfortunately for them, we did.
On 10 September 2025, Keir Starmer told the House of Commons that he had confidence in Peter Mandelson.
But documents released today show that in December 2024 he was warned there was a general reputational risk in appointing Mandelson because of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
I drove down Sauchiehall Street today — at least for as far as I could go before it becomes a building site — for the first time in over a decade. It used to be world-famous, Glasgow’s equivalent of Oxford Street. It’s now a shambles and a disgrace to Scotlands biggest city. A national scandal. Glasgow City Council should be put into administration. It is clearly incapable of running a proud city which, after years of decline, had a 30-year renaissance from the late 1970s onwards. And is now in more serious decline than ever. So sad — and unnecessary.
Probably the most epic takedown of Net Zero ever aired on television, courtesy of Peter Hitchens.
"If you want to live in a country where nobody can afford to heat their house... if you want lots of people to lose their jobs because there's no energy, if you want to be cold all the time... then carry on believing that the demand to go for Net Zero... is intelligent and thoughtful."
STV news just led showing an interview with Roz "5 houses" Foyer at today's anti poverty march. If Carlsberg did hypocrites...... @Georgia_Edkins @DailyMailLorna
This is incredible: staggering, incompentent, underpricing by SNPGreens.
Sold 30Gw of offshore windfarm rights £775m - £25m per Gigawatt. England likely to get £8bn for 8GW - ONE BILLION per gigawat.FORTY TIMES MORE THAN WE'RE GETTING!!!!!.
Great article by Brian Wilson Wilson
How can two parties that call themselves centre-left turn their backs on the very people they claim to represent the ones dying in our poorest communities? What kind of “progressive” politics is it that protects institutions instead of lives ?

Keith Brown mocking a disabled MSP, Jeremy Balfour, who has just spent 10 weeks in hospital (I believe he didn’t miss any votes either?) is utterly contemptible.
It is also blatantly ableist & should be investigated as such.
