The Lord-Lieutenant congratulates both the Wiltshire Scrapstore, Lacock & the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, Salisbury for winning a prestigious Kings Award for Voluntary Service. The Awards are testament to the wonderful & important work of volunteers throughout our county.
45 years, 4 remaining founder members, 25 Rotarians, 2250 man hours a year & all because we enjoy giving up our time to help people in need & our community.
Happy Birthday @WiltonRotary
This year we celebrate 45 years since we were chartered & 45 years of supporting our community. If you would like to hear more about us and what we do, please contact us.
Today is the 119th birthday of Rotary. There are more than 46,000 clubs worldwide, made of dedicated local people & businesses who give their time to support their community. In Rotary every pound raised is given back. Please think about your local club today & what it does.
We are facing a shortage of 5 vans for each day during the 12th - 14th Christmas Tree Collection.
If you have a suitable vehicle and can volunteer, your support would be greatly appreciated. As sadly, we have encountered an unexpected setback. Please call us on 01722 416353
Lovely way to round off a busy Rotary year with @WiltonRotary taking Father Christmas to @SalisburySHC and @SalisburyNHS and giving the dedicated staff a thank you gift for Christmas.
This is what makes every moment of giving up our time and volunteering as Rotarians worth while. Thanks to everyone who helped make a magical experience for so many people last night. @BBCWiltshire@journalupdate
Wonderfully emotional duty completed, taking Father Christmas (& Rudolph) to visit Wilton, Quidhampton & St Peter’s Place. The smiles on the elderly, the parents & the children’s faces made a long night out worth every moment. I am humbled to be @WiltonRotary President
We were proud & delighted to present a cheque to the @StarsAppeal on behalf of Lord Pembroke & @WiltonWCS from this years #WiltonWakeUps last night & hear how donations like these make such a huge difference to all those who use @SalisburyNHS & look forward to doing more in 2024!
My wonderful club @WiltonRotary visited @SalisburyNHS and the @StarsAppeal last night & I was able to join them from my ward to thank them for all they do and present £2500 from our fundraising. They are the best! Thank you 🥰
This Sunday a team of us are planting 4000 purple crocus corms in Wilton to recognise the work @Rotary have and continue to do to eradicate Polio worldwide. Look out for the beautiful flowers when you visit Wilton in the spring. @WiltonHousePMH@journalupdate@OdstockRadio
