These events are fun and enjoyable ways of networking as well as being very informative. Itβs been well established that there is no such thing as a silly question! We love to share our experiences, pick up good ideas and find solutions to problems and issues.
The Wiltshire & Swindon Branch meets 6 times a year and holds a regular training day. We have speakers from a wide range of local and national organisations, on topics that have been asked for by members.
At the SLCC Wiltshire & Swindon Branch meeting on Friday the Clerks welcomed Liz Batten from Salisbury Soroptimists to speak about the Wiltshire Policeβs Operation Awake which is designed to advise women in public life how to say safe.
Lots of top tips from Clerks on how to say safe when lone working. Mel Grace from SSEN explained about their Powering Communities to Net Zero fund, with grant applications sought for community resilience and renewable energy projects.
Mel from SSEN will also be attending to give details of their latest Community Resilience funding that has just launched.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday at 10am for coffee/pastries for a 10.30 start at Corsham Town Hall with a hybrid option
Next branch meeting will be FRI 16th MAY
Our speaker is covering Wiltshire Police's Operation Awake: Keeping women in public life safe, and we will be sharing top tips on lone working.
