@grizzlebear100 Do you mean Springwell Car Park? There is a risk of an unlawful incursion/illegal encampment so we are being extra cautious. It is under contstant review.
Thames Water have advised that tests show the Beverley Brook is now clear of sewage and oxygen levels have increased. The Environment Agency have also taken samples, and they have not advised us of any issues. Fortunately there has been no significant impact on the Brook.
@wimbdonparkrun We love hornets! Their location maybe unfortunate but that they are on the Commons is amazing. They play such an important part in the ecosystem, controlling pest species and they are pollinators.
VISITOR INFORMATION - BEVERLEY BROOK - Thames Water have made us aware that following a mains failure, sewage has entered Beverley Brook on Wimbledon Common. People and dogs should keep out of the Brook, from Wimbledon Common and downstream, until the situation is resolved.
