U15s returned to @FOGoodness this morning and were able to help out in English and Computer lessons, as well as with a SEN class. The whole group engaged so well with the pupils and really enjoyed the experience.
U18s were on the receiving end of a sensational innings, as FoG Academy amassed 218/3. Archie the pick of the bowlers with 2-19.
Seb (45) and James (22) got things going with Amaar (36) and Will (21) following up. But even Stan’s eventful 44* off 17 wasn’t enough for the win.
U15s returned to the MCC ground for a T20. Cam and Ollie took a brace each, Freddy and Sam a wicket apiece and Casper added a run out.
Chasing 175 was daunting. Freddy got 21 before Ben (28) and Bear (33) did their best to get close.
U18s struggled at Bandaragama as a strong attack knocked over the top 3. Rhys led the recovery with 28, Will, James, Stan, George B battling too.
The openers smashed to 62 in 7 before Stan and the spinners got to work, Sam, Tom, George applying the squeeze on our way to a win.
U15s faced strong opposition on Thursday, coming second in both games.
Felix and Isaac passed 30 with contributions from Freddy and Aditya too but scoring was tough against good bowlers.
Ray picked up 2-7 in the first game, with Ollie and Isaac getting one apiece in the second.
Seniors enjoyed dropping into Galle Fort after their game, finding a game of cricket to join in with before dinner. We’re looking forward to our games in Galle on Saturday.
U15s produced another good performance at Bandaragama, Ray, Casper and Cameron knocking off the runs quickly.
Cameron had already done damage with the ball too and picked up the MoM award for his 4-for. Will, Sam and Henry also in the wickets.
U18s were at Weeraketiya to play their District Academy today. There were starts for Jack and Seb M and Seb K’s 50 took us to 168.
George D took 2 up top and George B bagged 3 from his 10 but our hosts got home in the 34th to win by 3 wickets.
Congratulations to Seb on his first ever 50!
Playing for the u18s today he batted with the lower order to help us recover from 69-5 to reach 168 before he was last out for 64. Well batted!🏏🏏
Both squads enjoyed their humbling trips to @FOGoodness So good to see how the foundation supports their community and the boys enjoyed the chance to engage with some pupils in a lesson too.

U15s won a tight game on the final ball at Lyceum School on the back of 50s for Felix and Isaac.
Isaac and Aditya picked up a brace of wickets each.
The coaches enjoyed the pre-match net with some of the school children joining in, who were eager to pick up any coaching tips.
U18s have visited the elephants today at Pinnawela and then dropped into a Tea factory to see the process and enjoy a cuppa. We’ve enjoyed our time in Colombo and now transition South.
On Sunday, on their rest day, the u15s visited the elephants at Pinnawela. They might have purchased some local kit too, on our trip into Colombo on Saturday evening before a chance to hear former SL cricket star Aravinda de Silva speak!
U15s won on Saturday, beating Lyceum School by 30 runs.
Cam and Casper got the side off to a flyer, the former retiring upon reaching 50. Freddy and Lewin scored well too. Spin was effective in reply; Ray and Casper bowling tight, as did Ollie and Max.@WinCollSports
