I can't say I've ever come across the first scenario, even as someone who's an insomniac LMAO
I'm also just not the kind of person who makes excuses for basically anything though so idk
people use traffic as an excuse for their poor time management, that's why it's not a good excuse. there are things that are just out of your control, for sure (can't control accidents lol), but more often than not it has absolutely nothing to do with that
Idk why people think everything is an excuse instead of just a reason.
"Sorry, I don't know why I said that, I'm tired." "Being tired isn't an excuse!"
"Sorry for being late, I was stuck in traffic." "Traffic isn't an excuse!"
I fear it is, though?? Am I too autistic for this?
problem here is sometimes I don't know if someone is just being polite or is legitimately interested in what I have to say. sometimes it CAN be super obvious, but more often than not, I have no idea lol
Autists really gotta learn this one reliable trick:
1. BRIEFLY tell someone about something you’re interested in (as in, keep it under a minute, or ideally under 30 seconds)
2. WAIT to see whether they solicit further information
3. IF they only act polite, STOP talking about it
I love all the people that are like "oh if you can't see the ones on the left you're definitely colorblind ://"
like no they're legitimately almost impossible to see LOL
I've taken the colourblind test many many times and it is NEVER like it is in these pictures
