@Weave1036@Jared_Carrabis Lol you’re a legend. Happy to say I got to share a locker room with you for a short stint. Even if it was a rehab stint in Inland Empire 🤟🏻
In 2020, players like David Price gave money to minor leaguers while billion-dollar franchises cut minor leaguers rather than pay them $400/week they depended on.
Now, players are giving $1M to stadium workers because of the lockout.
It's clear who the good guys are.
The 30 Major League Baseball owners are worth over $100 billion. The value of their teams increased by more than $41 billion since they bought them. Mr. Manfred: End the lockout. Negotiate in good faith. Don't let the greed of baseball owners take away our national past time.
What jabronis think minor leaguers getting paid minimum wage would do:
•blow money on partying
•buy luxury cars
What minor leaguers getting paid minimum wage would do:
•pay rent
•afford decent food
•cover training cost
•focus on training in offseason instead of working
What u think playing in Milb is,
•make bank playing 3hrs of a kid’s game
What playing in Milb actually is,
•below poverty wages, during ST 7am early work, 1pm game, home by 5…during Szn 10am weights, 3pm stretch, 7pm game, done by 11pm, pack up, 12hr bus ride right after
What upset me the most about the last two weeks is that our guys are very talented. Again we’re never really outmatched when it comes to talent but they looked so unprepared and out coached it was embarrassing.
Great news: we’re told the Red Sox will address two main issues we’ve focused on this year, providing players with housing stipends & extended spring training salaries retroactive to early May. This is huge for these workers, who make less than 15k per year.
Which team is next?
