Feargal is talking about this petition https://t.co/p7dZoNJONr
Ignore the governments attempt to put you off with its untrue response. Take control of your bills away from the profiteers.
The Secretary of State for the Environment @EmmaforWycombe thinks it is OK to have 'off the record' meetings with water bosses who could end up in criminal court if @Defra did its job properly.
And who dictates whether Defra does its job properly?
That would be the same Secretary of State.
It's a #dirtybusiness for sure.

@Feargal_Sharkey@AndyBurnhamGM Whatever you think - make it something the givernment can't ignore, fudge or, as at the moment - falsify
Sign and share and stop the scam

Are we wakingup yet?
Privatisation - a crazy deal signed mostly against our will in 1989, where water company owners don't put put their money into fixing the business and just extract as much of our cash as they can get away with.
- and now our government is lying to us to keep it running.
You can fight back - sign and share - https://t.co/J5ADoh2hre
What sort of government has off-the-record meetings with bosses of water companies that they know are breaking the law on an industrial scale.
First, the regulators and now the government, embroiled in the dirty business.
What did you talk about with the Thames Water Chairman who diverted over £1billion of customers' money out of investment to reduce pollution to the benefit of him and the owners instead, Environment Secretary @EmmaforWycombe ?

Another investigation into Royal Mail failure to deliver post.
Previous ones approved higher prices, lower post delivery targets.
RM hasn't hit delivery target for 1st-class post since 2017, 2nd-class mail since 2020.
Another failed privatisation.

Shocking 👇 the government's decision to say no to public ownership of water MUST be revisited
Mandelson co-founded Global Counsel which lobbied for privatised water
Both Environment Secretaries Steve Reed and Emma Reynolds were clearly close to him

"Andy Burnham has launched a scathing attack on 'profiteering' water companies, demanding United Utilities cancel its final dividend payment to shareholders in August."
Now there's something we could all vote for, well done @AndyBurnhamGM
Tip of the hat sir. 👏👏👏

🥳101 MPs 🥳
That's the number of MPs who have signed now signed our open letter to Ofwat and the Environment Secretary.
101 MPs saying NO to Thames Water setting its own rules on sewage pollution.
101 MPs saying NO to a dangerous new low for the water sector.
101 MPs calling for Thames Water to be placed in special administration.
Is your MP one of them? https://t.co/Gp69mnfZFD
This is cobblers.
The water shortage was a result of SE Water not being able to treat water fast enough to meet increased demand.
A failure of capacity and infrastructure.
Watching privatised water wreck the local economy in Whitstable, while our government tells us how it would be too expensive to stop being ripped off by these rogue traders, and we need to keep the money flowing to them.
Make them pay heavy compensation for this or watch it spread.
@sewateruk@EmmaforWycombe@SOSWhitstable@RosieDuffield1
Since privatisation, water companies sold off 25 reservoirs without building a single major one.
Now they want bill payers to fund a few new projects. Too little, too late.
Privatised greed is putting us at risk during a climate emergency. To build resilience, we need public ownership.
Privatisation of water in a nutshell:
They make us pay more
They dump sewage in our rivers
They sell off our reservoirs and build none
But but but… the CEO is paid hundreds of thousands
And the shareholders have been paid billions
Congratulations England, we can’t figure out what 90% can.
Yet another glaring example of how utterly failed the water industry is. All it took was one hot weekend and not one but two water companies have been brought to their knees, incapable of doing the most basic job possible, supplying their customers with water.
And we tolerate this nonsense.
Looks like the water outage at Whitstable is showing on the sign-up rate on the petition. Witney finally gets a rival on top spot.
No, we don't have to accept being ripped off by profiteers - please sign and share - this is part of a plan to end the scam.
Click on the link to sign - 2 mins, and we don't want your money, just your support.

@anewid2021 A corporation is not bound to break the law and to rely on a regulator to stop it - if it were, that would be a statutory defence for crime, and it isn't.
